how fabulous is this! We are here watching Eurovision - is fab! I love Eurovision - it is such a fabulous institution, it is the gay equivilent of Football! :o)

Doing some research into Novell stuff for my weeks work starting tomorrow.

After re-reading the letter from upity solicitors last night I have noticed something. It states, and I quote:

"Orange requires you to confirm in writing that you will cease to use the slogan 'The Future's Bright. The Future's Pink' and the Pink Square Device or anything similar to either on your website."

Looking at the letter it doesn't say that I have in anyway infringed on Oranges trademarks! Yes I will admit the pink square and slogan are similar to theirs, however how anyone can get the two confused is like qay beyond the comprehension of my little brain! One is a large phone network and the other a small website of a dizzy blonde camp puff!!

Oh bugger! Just had an upity letter from some solicitors acting on behalf of orange asking me to remove the current mdoLive logo and slogan ("The future's bright. The futures pink."). I could protest and argue that the website is currently residing on and being served by servers in New York so the UK trademark certificates they sent me don't prove anything. But I'm not - its like too much hassle. Instead I'm gonna revert to the rectangle logo and change the slogan on the main page - not sure what to yet. I am seeking clarification from Oranges solicitors on this. ~grins~

Job news!! Had an interview this morning for a financial publishers / conference company for a Systems manager job. The HQ is in London with offices in New York and Hong Kong (it will include international travel) and employ about 200 staff. This afternoon they called me inviting me in for a 2nd Interview.
